Beer & Sweat
Beer and Sweat – Saturday, August 18, 2012
Beer & Sweat is the world’s largest KEG-ONLY (no bottles allowed!) homebrew competition by volume! The competition takes place Saturday afternoon ending with the Best of Show judging and finally the awards ceremony in the evening. Once the awards have been given, the biggest homebrewed party that you will ever experience continues well into the evening with live music, raffles and partying!

Competition Overview
For those unfamiliar with a homebrew competition, the basic idea is to collect entries from a wide range of brewers. Once all entries have been collected, they are sorted into 15-20 style-based groups that we call “flights.” On the day of the competition, 2-3 judges will be assigned to each flight and sample each of the entries individually while completing a score sheet. Once all beers have been scored, the winner from each flight (typically the top scoring beer) progresses to a second round where the most experienced judges decide an overall competition winner or “Best of Show.”
