Gustav’s Vienna Lager tapping at Taft’s Ale House 6/4

June 2, 2015

Fellow Bloatarians, it’s time for ANOTHER beer tapping at Taft’s Ale House!

This Thursday, 6/4, Taft’s Ale House is tapping Gustav’s Vienna Lager. The tapping is part of the German-American Citizen’s League’s 120th German Day Celebrations. It is the first in what Taft’s is going to call their “Homebrewer Series” (Ray Spangler’s Claude of Zepley was the first in their “Resurrection Series”). This is Rob Westendorf’s recipe, so it’s another collaboration between Bloatarian Brewing League and Taft’s Ale House, with many more to come.

The beer is named for Gustav Eisenlohr, the original minister of the church in which Taft’s resides, from 1850-1877. The official tapping ceremony will begin at 6:00 with a presentation from the German Heritage Museum to Taft’s of an original sign from St. Paulus Kirche (the original builders of Taft’s building) dating to circa 1850.

Please come out to support Kevin Moreland, Rob Westendorf, Taft’s Ale House, the Bloatarian Brewing League, and the strong bond between the two.
