Homebrew Day Recap:

40+ people attended

4 brewers made 25 gallons

Demos of Anvil and Grandfather all-in-ones, extract, and all-grain techniques

$610 raised in the Grandfather raffle - half will be donated to charity (Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue)

2 new members

Winner of the Grandfather was Bill Huelsman - in attendance, brewed at event

Beer & Sweat:

Topics to discuss include how to grow the event

New host site

Monthly Meetings Planning:

Humble Monk is our strongest resource, and wants us there

Need to research options at old MadTree site, Grainwork’s, others?

At meetings have a handout with notes / list of announcements

-Want to do a monthly social night in addition to a meeting night

-Perhaps do trivia? 

-May include board meeting at location ahead of the social

Mini Comps:

3-4x annually

BOS style judging done at meetings (drop of location is location of meeting)

Any style with some exceptions (no wild/sour, pale ale/IPA, barrel aged, decoction)

Ingredients need to be readily available at Listermanns

$10 entry, or free if a dues paid member

“Get your beer brewed and on tap here!” 

Winner brews with Allen and gets their beer on tap at LBC with a BBL tap handle.

** Create a poster for Listermann’s to help advertise this and the club

Bockfest:

Pre-Event to coincide with the brewing of 2023 Schoenling Bock at Moerlein Lager House

Giant tent with booths

Brew your bock bier on site and get free entry into the Bockfest comp in March.

Judging will potentially be at MLH

Keith proposed to create an online store for orders
