Beer & Sweat 2025
Bryan plans to check with Caleb at Cincy State about a sponsorship.
Ray is in talks with contacts at Sam Adams for a sponsorship too.
Wanting to do something slightly different for Medals/awards, more generic but with the logo, and a sticker on the back with winner info.
Need to begin donation requests - online is preferred
Hotel is ready for reservations and will have the same entry code - BSK
Bockfest
Successful competition again this year - AND A BLOAT WON IT ALL! Congrats Metts Potter!
Missing Linck
Returns again in 2025. Brewers will have to signup for yeast, we'll charge $5.13 per entry as a small club fundraiser. There are virtually no other costs as Urban covers the majority.
Method for entries and payments is ready using a Google Form for entry info, and shared documents for feedback.
Paypal donation is setup
Distributed yeast at March meeting, more available at Urban Artifact - just ask the bartenders
Festival is unlikely to happen this year, but judging will still occur and we'll party afterward
We'll use the barrel staves for awards as tests for B&S - Bryan says Ham Co Libraries have makers spaces with laser engravers
Treasurery
Andy will reimburse Rob for Bockfest costs from the PayPal account
Bloat Open
Esoteric will host Bloat Open on May 17. There will be a small entry fee ($5?) as its a club only comp. Discussed capping number of entries per person at 5; limited styles available for BOS as judged by the brewers at Eso, for a 5bbl batch.
Keith should have the site setup and ready soon.
Big Brew
Randy has chosen April 26 for the date. Wooden Cask will be making Andy's TBFBH Saison recipe, where they will have wort available for sale, choose your own yeast (but Andy recommends a co-pitch of Wyeast 3724 and WLP 565) along with adding a pound of sugar of your choice to the wort.
Need to be a BBL member (or at least a member of CMI or BCBS)
Randy requests everyone to bring a unique bottle of beer for sharing!
Additionally, BCBS will be hosting theirs on May 5 at Municipal, everyone is invited.
Andy will check on whether we can grab some pitches from either Narrow Path or Madtree.
